To add a little more content to my site and hopefully give you a reason to want to come back I am adding “Weekend What’s Up?”
I’m not sure where the name came from, I probably heard it somewhere and stole it but since I don’t where- let’s just agree I’m clever.
This section will be some Movies, Books, Shows, that I have enjoyed and maybe you can too. Hopefully sometime in the future it will include some things I have actually left my house to do but for now, this is the – Routine of Quarantine – that was clever, has anyone heard that one yet?
These posts will be added sometime between Thursday evening and Friday mornings.
I have also added a section ABOVE for you to enter your email to receive notification of new content. Entering your name and email here will only add you to this notification list and you will not be contacted for any other reason.
As for my recommendations, you should know, I like to be entertained and amused. I am not one who needs a profound book with a life-changing meaning. I would much rather have a book make me smile, LOL moments, a little cry from time to time, mysteries, and thrillers, I consider fun too. Oh, and something a little “trashy” to round things out.
Please leave comments below, if you have taken any recommendations and enjoyed them and feel free to recommend to me as well. I will not be giving full-on reviews of any titles – if it is here it is because I enjoyed it.
Books
My easy favorite book is The Actor and The Housewife by Shannon Hale. I love this book! Smile, Laugh, a little Cry and Smile again. I lent my hard copy to a friend and if she is reading this, she knows who she is, but luckily, I love her too, so it’s okay.
It is the type of book you want to lend – share the simple happiness.
Movies
We recently watched Knives Out. All-star cast, modern mystery, with a classic Agatha Christie cleverness, that is not used anymore in entertainment.
TV/Streaming/Bingeing
Dead to Me, with Christina Applegate on Netflix. New season starts May 8th. This a good time to recap or see for the first time, the ten, 30-minute episodes of season 1. Grief and dark comedy, relationships, all intertwined by secrets and surprises.
So that is it for this week – Have a great weekend and try to take a Piece of Life and Make it Extraordinary. Peace-Out!
